In 2019, Aaron released two tracks,
‘Good Tattoo‘ & ‘Where Music Comes From‘.
Along with these official releases, he has been busy co-writing tracks with many other song writers in Nashville and abroad.
Notes: Aaron Allen (born August 1, 1981)
Debuting as a solo artist in mid 2000, Aaron created a buzz for himself amongst the country/folk and bluegrass scene in Southern Ontario with his first release (‘’Self Titled’’ 2006). In 2007 he released a record called ‘’Aaron Allen And The Small City Saints’’, which was his first offering as a full band, followed by the critically acclaimed ‘’A Place Called Hell’’ in 2009. He began touring as a solo artist, as well as with a band, and received national airplay, as well as appearing on shows such as JR Digg’s ‘’Man With A Van’’ (which he wrote the title track for). After touring extensively, he released another solo record called ‘’IV’’ in 2011, which was followed by the EP ‘’Small City Saints’’ in 2012. He really cut his teeth performing opening for such acts as Joel Plaskett, Thomas Rhett, Tim Hicks, The Sheepdogs, Dallas Smith, The Trews, Matt Mays, Tom Wilson, Aaron Pritchett, just to name a few.
In 2013 Aaron took a break from music to start a family, which inspired a boost of creativity, and in 2015 he released another critically acclaimed full length album ‘’Better Days’’.
The Small City Saints have seen numerous members over the years.
The band currently consists of Juno award winner Dan Broadbeck, Tara Dunphy (of The Rizzdales), Glen Gamble ‘’Archie’’ (formerly of Helix/The Joys), Corey Cameron and Simon Larrochette.

Notes:
Call him country, folk, rock, cow punk or blues, Aaron Allen is just a singer songwriter who writes honest music from the heart and could care less about fitting into any one genre. He tends to write about topics other people would prefer to keep quiet and that’s quite evident on the singer’s sixth studio release.
Aaron Allen, born August 1, 1981 in Chatham, Ontario, is a Canadian alt-country/blues/acoustic/rock singer-songwriter. Driven by influences such as Neil Young, Ryan Adams and Bob Dylan, Aaron’s approach to writing music starts from the power of his lyrics which are sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes straight up rock and roll, but always true to his heart and honest. Aaron believes in making music that is timeless and continues to carve out his place in the music industry to ensure a long career in doing what he loves. Produced By Mack Edwards Engineered, co-produced and mixed by Simon Larochette Recorded at the Sugar Shack, London On, Canada.

Band: Buckets Of Release: Self-Titled EP Year: 2008 Genre: Indie Rock, pop and country.
Chatham Connection: Wes Moore and Corey Wells are from Chatham. Wes previously played drums in local bands such as the ‘Beat Junkies’ and ‘Pocket Muu Muus’. He moved away after his school years.
Band Biography
Buckets Of are a rock/country/art/space 5-piece that formed in Toronto, Canada. The group started when Corey Wells and Meaghan Bent began mashing together country and rock. Meaghan was learning drums and Wells was/is already a gnarly guitarist with Ancestors. The two wrote a handful of catchy ditties and in Summer ’07 synth-ist Katie McLeod (aka: KTron816) joined and filled in the spaces with the flowery imagery and spaciness that would develop the band’s style. The trio formed as Buckets Of. After recording bottomless demos in November ’07 at The Pound in Montreal drummer-turned-bassist Wes Moore (Lunchmeat) became the engine of the music with driving county/punk bass lines. Most recently, Tyler McPherson has joined playing pedal steel and baritone guitar. He adds the class to our stage show, both in dress and musicianship.
Instrumentation Corey Wells – Guitar, Vocals
Meaghan Bent – Drums, Harmonica, Vocals
Katie McLeod – Keys, Synth, Tambourine, Back Vocals
Wes Moore – Bass, Back Vocals
Tyler McPherson – Pedal Steel, Baritone Guitar
Cory & Wes also play in the Toronto band ‘ancestors’, that is made up of all Chathamites. This is a heavier, hardcore band. Check them out online here.
Band: Salmonblaster CD Release: Salmonblaster Year: 1996 Home: London Ontario Chatham Connection: Bass player Mat Davis is from Wallaceburg and played guitar for the biggest metal/ thrash band to come from Chatham (M.A.D. / The Mad)1988-1993.
Members:
Matt Worm – vocals, guitar, fx
Mat Davis – bass, guitar
Brady Parr – drums, backing vocals
Notes:
Formed in early `94, this intense and adventurous three-piece from London, Ontario recently inked a deal with indie label Liquid Records. Its self-titled debut features 14 songs of dramatic, borderline, schizophrenic stylings from punk sentimentalist rock songs, 80s new wave, trance-like dirges and even experimental noise. “When you dream about being in a band, you dream about being in this band,” wrote ID Magazine.
The band also played on the ‘Tom Green Show’ before it got picked up by MTV.
In 1997, The Janet Theory invited the band down to play the CAW Hall in Chatham with them and a few other local bands. This was the biggest underground indie show to hit Chatham’s vibrant scene that year.
The song ‘Freeway’ took the band to a level most bands would like to sit at. The guys gained heavy rotation and support from Much Music, and mainly college radio. Around this time, Nirvana was on top of the music scene which allowed bands of this genre a chance to get in the door. Discography…

Artist: The MATADORS Release: Matadors (Demo) Style: Rockabilly Date: 1999
Chatham Connection: Singer Chris Hart is from Chatham.During his high school years he fronted the punk rock band L.O.T.D. (Lice Of The Dead). After moving to London, he joined Jivaro Fracus, and later the Matadors. In 2000, Chris began a venture into solo records.
At the time, the band did a mix of covers and original music.
The Matadors are: Joel Parkins – Guitar Steve Crew – Drums Linda McCartney – Organ Jefry Sheppard – Dog House Bass Chris Hart – Vocals
Tracks:
01. Ride
02. Other Man
03. Hangin’ Round
04. London Dungeon (Misfits cover)
These songs were recorded at dB studios in London, Ontario in 1998-ish.
I was lucky enough to catch Chris perform in local punk & rockabilly bands before he moved on to London. Chris’s voice is amazing. He may not like that I think he has an early Danzig/Misfits sound, but he does, and he turned it into his own. Go listen.
Note from chrwradio : Chris Hart went on to record his own record entitled Lonesome Blood. Linda McCartney sadly died that year of cancer related illnesses. Jef and Joel, however, transformed the Matadors into what the original intention of the band was….a youth oriented Satanic outreach and musical revue. The new Matadors also put out a record, aptly named ‘Heartless’, in 2002.
