Chatham Music Archive.com
Update: Jan. 24th, 2023: The Archive is not currently active with updates since the Pandemic began a few years ago, which heavily declined the local music scene. With the rapid decline of original music (Albums/Demos) coming out in the last few years, we currently cannot provide the resources to dedicate to this project on a daily basis. We will regroup here & there, to add new posts, although not as frequent as years in the past.
View our contact page if you wish to submit material for the archive. (right hand side bar).

Thanks for doing this wonderful website. It brings back a lot of fond memories.
Ohhhh the ol’ scene.
Awesome job bro.
This site has become a regular visit for me. You have done an amazing job with it, thanks!!
Shawn:
Another band from 1968.It was an R&B group called “Cold Sweat”. Leroy Hurst (from Windsor formerly with Little Leroy And The Citations) on lead vocals, Fred Stubbs on guitar, Jim Cooke on Bass, Al Nichols on drums, Dan Bullard on Keyboards, Gerry Nagle on saxophone, George Wilson on trumpet and Bob Sass on Flugel Horn, French Horn, Trombone, saxophone, etc. Bruce Robertson took over for the last 3 or four months. In September of 1968 the groups van hit a steer on the highway near Lucan on the way home from a gig in Wingham. Bruce Robertson was killed and three other members of the band were hospitalized. The band never re-formed.
I remember when that accident happened. A very sad time.
Shawn:
Small addition to last entry. Bruce Robertson took over on lead vocals for the last three or four months.
Dan

After recording in Nashville, my local band was “Gary Stocking & Magnum” and my road band was simply “The Gary Stocking Band”
I can certainly dig up some old promo pictures and send them in if you’d like.
Thanks a bunch !

I used to play in Chatham regularly (30 yrs ago) with a band called “The Grind”. Very fond memories. My favorite place to play back then. Would love to say hi to Judy. Cheers Chatham. Kim
What about The PERPETRATORS???
George Perpich on Guitars and Stevie Whyte on Drums, some kid played lead guitar and was really good, the lead singer played bass.
There was some dude who played keyboards also. He wore a headband all the time. They played crazy covers of SRV, Michael Jackson and Rick Jamez. This was like 5 years ago. I’ll bet these dudes are still around.
Find them!!!!
Great site!!
I began playing in the Chat. Police Boys Band in /49 Ed Carney used to take 50 or 60 kids every year & grind the fundamentals of music into them.–Best thing that ever happened to me. I enrolled in the R.C.N. & was lucky enough to get an audition with the band. The guy in charge must have seen some inkling of talent ’cause he recomended me for the school of music in Victoria. I got to travel the world, got a great musical education & got paid to do it. After my hitch I returned home & played with pretty well any group that needed a bass player. Formed the New Trend Trio with Bob Wood of CFCO in /62 . Played in the Concert band for 20 yrs. In /80 left Chat. for Brazil, stopped in Edmonton on the way & found out what a weekend was really for. Hadn’t played in 30 yrs, went to a Navy Band reunion in 2011 –met up with some old buddies –got the urge to play again & bought a bass. Now in the process of forming calouses.
Stay tuned Ed Foy agefoy@gmail.com

Hi my name is Mytch. I play for a local Windsor band named the stroll. We are looking to expand into different area in Windsor Essex county. If interested in having us play please contact us via our Facebook page or email
Anybody remember “Zoom”??? She was a big black solo R&B singer from either Detroit or Chicago who played a few gigs in Chatham in the 90’s. She was an absolutely amazing singer & performer. I remember seeing her several times at All-Stars (now T-Bones). I always wondered what her story was.
The “solo” survivor of REMANISIN RECORDS and still active artist INFLUENTIAL. I would love and cherish to be back on this list as an active Chatham Kent artist
Thanks Shawn, this is a great project and we really appreciate you including us. I have added this project to our webpage to help spread the word. Please check it out and if there is any change to the wording or anything else you would like to say on our page please let me know.
