CFCO Radio 2012

March 25, 2012

Radio Station: CFCO 92.9FM & 630 AM
Home: Chatham – Kent Ontario
Year: 2012
First Aired: 1926 (AM Station)
Format: Country Music
Website: http://country929.com/

Location: 117 Keil Drive South, Chatham, ON, N7M 3H3
Phone: 519-354-2200

Notes: Country 92.9 & AM 630
On March 3, 2008 at 9AM, after sixteen years as an oldies station, “Classic Gold 630” came to an end with the song “The Beat Goes On” by Sonny and Cher, after which CFCO signed on the new country format with “Play Something Country” by Brooks & Dunn. Opening the station was thirty two year CFCO vet George Brooks. This is the first time Chatham-Kent has had its own country music station, although now-sister station CHYR in nearby Leamington was a country station for most of the 1990s and sister station CJSP, also in Leamington, debuted its own country format prior to CFCO’s change. Besides CFCO and CJSP, other country stations owned by Blackburn Radio are CHOK in Sarnia-Lambton, CJWF-FM in Windsor, and CKNX in Wingham.

In March 2011 CFCO began referring the station as “Country 92-9 FM CFCO” with no mention of 630AM.

2011 is a new year for Leclerc who finally just finished recording at 4th Street Recording Studio, Santa Monica, CA with Platinum/Gold Producer Jim Wirt (Incubus, Fiona Apple, Live, Hoobastank) on a five song EP released in Feb, 2011.
Over the last 2 years Leclerc has opened up for the Tragically Hip, played for the famous WWF wrestler Rick Flair on his wedding day, traveled to Los Angeles to record demos, given his time to a numerous amount of charity events and arranged a small tour through the state of California, Sept 2009 along with lead guitarist Jonathan Ebanks. The Golden Eagles 2009

March 8, 2010

Band: The Golden Eagles
Release: The Gold Album
Year: 2009
Formed: Early 2008
Home: Windsor/ Chatham-Kent

Members:
Jamie Reaume – Vocals and guitar.
Neil Tupling – Bass (ex-Lost Souls Division)
Geoff Yunker – drums.

Notes: Some of you may know singer songwriter Jamie Reaume from his previous band Foreign Film Star, or saw him play a solo acoustic show  in Chatham or Windsor. He used to often play at the Elephant’s Nest and other venues while growing up in Chatham.
Jamie is currently living in the Windsor area and his new band involves musicians from there as well.
This is a great indie CD worth checking out. Their first single “Cell Phone” is a great indication of jamie improving consistently with his song writing and song structures. This track alone shows signs of a band who gets it and has worked hard to drop tracks that simply rock without trying to over play, be too artsy, or too safe.

Track Listing
01 Cell Phone
02 See You Coming
03 Bird Of Prey
04 Go
05 Surfing At The Circus
06 Don’t Wanna Know
07 Twenty Something
08 Dr Shark’s Leather Couch
09 The Duke

The Gold Album was recorded from November 2008 to March 2009 at Sharktank Studios in Windsor, Ontario and was engineered, mixed and mastered by Mark Plancke. The album features guest appearances from Sara Hines as Sally, Mark Plancke as Dr. Shark and Jose Ramirez as El Diablo.
