A well seasoned performer, Jay Allan has been writing & entertaining audiences for over 15 years. His debut album ‘Please Don’t Change’ was released in 1998 by North Street Records. His follow up release ‘The Wrong Direction’ took him yo Nashville and was produced by Doc Walker’s Murray Pulver. Despite the album title, Jay was planted firmly in the right direction, with two successful radio singles “Rumourville” and “She’s A Tease”. The latter, became his first Top 40 single.

Today, Jay is a dedicated and driven songwriter with an original sound, an accomplice to many local aspiring songwriters and musicians and a dedicated member of the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA), SOCAN and the Songwriter’s Association of Canada (S.A.C.)

* This is a great modern country song writing 101 release. Great catchy choruses and a truly fun listen all the way through. I do hope they shop these songs. The work that went into this is showing.

Note: A fan favourite in Chatham that played live and recorded original material during 1990-1991.
The video footage of this young band is from Bothwell Ontario May 11, 1991.
  Around 1997, Shawn formed the experimental metal band “Whatever“, who released a Cd followed by a few tours across Canada, performing originals & covers.. Rod went on to record with Fletcher Munson who recorded a few Cd’s in the early 2000’s, followed by a few popular cover bands through out the following years. Nick found a home in the country music scene.

Notes: Ontario singer/songwriter Jay Allan has been writing songs since the age of 14. Today Jay is a dedicated and driven country music singer songwriter with an original sound.  As an active member of the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA), SOCAN and the Songwriter’s Association of Canada (S.A.C.) Jay is being recognized in the Canadian Country music scene, performing at many music events and festivals including opening for great Canadian acts such as Jimmy Rankin, Julian Austin & Doc Walker and releasing his first single ‘Rumourville’ to country radio across Canada.
