Julie has acquired an unquenchable thirst for the arts, from her family background. A dad who entertained his entire life across Great Britain and then Canada, and a mom who worked in fashion and design. Is it any wonder that she has a great love for poetry, fine art and graphics, as well as the musical canvases she currently paints upon.
The release of her first album in the spring of 2000 Middle Ground resulted in a schedule of hectic proportions with a calendar of over 200 dates in the following year, with many highlights and great experiences along the way.
The CD :
Simply the best CD put out this year from our local scene. Julie is best known for hosting ‘Open Mic’ Tuesday nights at the Elephants Nest which is swarming with local talent waiting to perform with her.
The CD plays into this theme as several musicians from town all appear on this CD recorded at Franks Music Centre, downtown Chatham. Julie is well known as an acoustic performer but this CD of originals shows her ability to perform as a band also.
13 songs fill the disc for the easy listen pop acoustic/rock feel good album.Produced by Steve Eyres and Julie Ross.
Engineered by and mixed by Steve Eyres and Bob Hiltz
